Library

I've been working part-time as a primary school librarian since March 2020, right around the time when lockdown started. It was a strange beginning to my new role, going into an empty library and a half empty school, working in bubbles and not really knowing what was going on..

I decided to focus my attention on creating a welcoming and inspiring space for when the children returned, making reading posters and Dewey Decimal pictures for the library, then continued creating reading displays across the whole school. Many of these artworks are on a scale much larger than my usual work, the largest being a whopping 4.5m long!

I love creating these pieces and love the fact that they are seen by children every day.
